What is Recovery Exchange?

Recovery Exchange is a UK platform that connects people who need vehicles moved (dealers, traders, individuals) with professional transporters. You can post jobs, get bids, assign a transporter, pay securely, and track the job with proof of delivery.

How do I post a job?

Sign up as a poster (dealer/trader), then create a job with pickup and drop postcodes, vehicle details, and choose either open bidding or an instant fixed price. Transporters will bid or accept; you choose who to assign and pay via Stripe.

How do I join as a transporter?

Register and choose the transporter account type. You’ll need an active subscription to browse and bid on jobs. Once subscribed, you can see available jobs, place bids or accept instant offers, and complete jobs with live tracking and proof of delivery.

What are instant jobs?

Posters can set a fixed price for a job. That offer is sent to nearby transporters, who can accept immediately or send a counter bid. If no one accepts, the job can fall back to open bidding.

Is there live tracking?

Yes. When a job is in progress, the poster can see real-time location and status. Transporters send updates via the app; you get ETA and delivery confirmation with photos and signature.

How does payment work?

Posters pay when they assign a transporter (Stripe checkout). Commission is taken by the platform. Transporters pay a subscription to access jobs; fleet plans are available for multiple drivers. Payouts to transporters are handled according to your account and billing settings.

Can I use this as a fleet?

Yes. Fleet masters can subscribe, add drivers, and assign jobs to drivers. Drivers have their own logins and see only their assigned jobs; they don’t bid. Fleet billing is separate from single-driver subscriptions.
